A: Coach Wooden’s Pyramid of Success Playbook by John Wooden and Jay Carty


Q: What is one skill you recommend students learn?

A: Be an expert with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point)


Q: What is your favorite motto or inspirational quote?

A: Be true to yourself. Make each day your masterpiece. Help others. Drink deeply from good books, especially the Bible. Make friendship a fine art. Build a shelter against a rainy day. Pray for guidance and give thanks for your blessings every day.


Q: What piece of advice do you wish someone would have given you in college?

A: To always live and interact as if you are on an interview. Always be your best self because you never know who might be watching, listening, recording. Great opportunities can come from the most unlikely places and introductions, but so also can come great failures through actions not meant to be made public.
